Sample ItineraryYoga in the Mountains, 18 days Responsibility begins with yourself. What better way to do this than to take responsibility of your own health with this trip that combines a holistic traditional look at Yoga practice in Nepal, a yoga trek and learning on how responsibility tourism works in Nepal. This amazing trip begins with a deep look at how responsibility works in Nepal, as we go deep through detailed briefings and examples from practice at socialtours and in Nepal. We also welcome all visitors with a seven course organic Nepali meal, which has great learnings on how yoga is integrated into Nepali food habits, when we use medicinal spices in the food. Thereafter we do immersive heritage tours, taking us beyond behind the practice of mass tourism, and also experience the real practice of Yoga in Nepal, which combines astrology, ayurveda, work ethics and health! We then go on a eight day yoga trek, conducting yoga sessions in one of the best locations on earth, spending two fulfilling days at 4300 meters besides Lake Gosainkunda, a mountain lake said to be one of the abodes of Shiva, the greatest Yogi of them all. We then go to Chitwan to experience the flip side of tourism and also to see how it can be done in a responsible manner, combining the commercial elements of tourism with philanthropy and conservation. We can of course sneak in a few Yoga sessions in the serene atmosphere of the jungle too. We end this holistic trip with responsible shopping and a compulsory farewell dinner.
