Briefly, socialtours started in 2002. We have seven to eight people working in the company at any given time. International interns from Germany, USA and the UK as well as local tourism interns often join our team. Read about the team here.
We are conveniently located in the heart of Kathmandu. Though in the bustling tourism hub of Thamel, we are a bit hidden on a quiet side street. The map can be seen here.
Our office space is over 2000 sq. ft and has a big garden where we sometimes hold our trip briefings.
Once you contact us we start an in depth conversation online to develop trips specifically for your customers. These tailor-made trips then become yours and yours alone, unless they are the standard trips in Nepal. Once we have finalized these we expect to get trained (online or otherwise) in the Standard Operating Procedures of your trips, so that we can truly represent your company in Nepal.
We then develop custom-tailored terms and conditions of operation to suit both our interests, and sign a contract (our initial contracts are typically for two years).
