This is a challenging trek along part of the Great Himalayan Trail, recognised by National Geographic Adventure as one of the 25 best new trips of 2010. The trek will push you as you climb the more than 5000m pass the locals call the Cho La from where you can see unparalleled views of the Everest mountain range. On the other side of the pass lie the pristine glacial lakes of Gokyo. Along the trail you will stay in small Sherpa-run family lodges, experiencing a glimpse of their fascinating culture. Scenically and culturally, this is a trip of a lifetime.
