Annapurna trek, Jungle Safari, Lhasa trip
Here is the itinerary that we ran for a couple in May 2007. It was a fantastic trip which included the 9days Annapurna Trek, along with some jungle activities at Chitwan and finally a relaxing tour of Lhasa.
May 05: Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel, Kathmandu.
May 06:Day 02: Morning Flight: Kathmandu – Pokhara. Overnight at hotel, Pokhara.
Annapurna Santuary Trek Starts:
May 07: Day 03: Drive to Nayapul. Trek to Ghandrung. Overnight.
May 08: Day 04: Ghandrung – Chomrong. Overnight.
May 09: Day 05: Chomrong – Himalaya Hotel. Overnight.
May 10: Day 06: Himalaya Hotel – Machhapuchhere Base Camp. Overnight.
May 11: Day 07: Machhapuchhere Base Camp – Annapurna Base Camp.
May 12: Day 08: Annapurna Base Camp – Himalaya Hotel.
May 13: Day 09: Himalaya Hotel – Chomrong.
May 14: Day 10: Chomrong – Ghandrung.
May 15: Day 11: Chomrong – Pokhara. Overnight at hotel, Pokhara.
May 16: Day 12: Drive to: Pokhara – Chitwan. Overnight at hotel, Chitwan.
May 17: Day 13: Various jungle activities. Overnight at hotel, Chitwan.
May 18: Day 14: Fly to: Chitwan – Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel, Kathmandu.
May 19: Day 15: Kathmandu - Nyalam. (3750m) – 156 Kms. Early morning drive to Kodari. After doing immigration and custom formalities drive uphill to Zhangmu immigration Post. Complete custom formalities and drive to Nyalamu. Overnight.
May 20: Day 16: Nyala - Lhatse. (4350m) – 244 Kms. Drive to Lhatse crossing Nyalamu Pass (3800m) & LALUNG LA PASS (5050m). Overnight.
May 21: Day 17: Lhatse – Shigatse. (3900m) – 248 Kms. Drive (Approx. 8 hrs) to Shigatse. Overnight.
May 22: Day 18: Shigatse - Gyantse. (3900m) – 90 Kms. In the morning visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the free market of Shigatse. In the afternoon drive to Gyantse and visit Phalkor Monastery and Khumbum Stupa. Overnight.
May 23: Day 19: Gyantse – Lhasa. (3650m) – 259 Kms. Drive to Lhasa crossing two passes THE Karika (5010 M.) and Kamba La (4794 m). via Yamdrok Tso lake. Overnight at Hotel Flora or similar.
May 24/25: Day 20/21: Lhasa: Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Norbulinka palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight at Hotel Flora or similar.
May 26: Day 22: Fly to: Lhasa – Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel, Kathmandu.
May 27: Day 23: Transfer to Airport for Departure. |
